In high-velocity water curtain systems also referred to as sprayers, the discharge and distribution of water are uniform. The nozzles are typically connected to a water, air, or pressurized nitrogen supply. A deluge valve, activated by the fire detection system, releases the water and simultaneously triggers an alarm.
